The Fray - Absolute

Ive seen this one before, the girl she gets away
Everybody knows it but no one tries to stop it
Cause she barely even knows him but if she could see inside
Everything is quiet as she waits to tell him who she is

Is this all we get to be absolute

Quiet but Im sure there is something here
Tell me everything cause I want to hear

Its a kiss sits upon on her lips that waits for planes and battle ships
She wants to be a dancer and he has got a picture
On his wall and its a sailor in a new port every night
Yet man was born to trouble like sparks fly upwards innocent

Is this all we get to be absolute

Quiet but Im sure there is something here
Tell me everything cause I want to hear

All we are and all we want
40 years come and gone
All we are in photographs
Will never be taken

Quiet but Im sure there is something here
Tell me everything cause I want you here
Quiet but Im sure there is something here
Tell me everything cause I want to hear

we always hope for things that dont exist.
I'm standing under a white flag

1 Dec 09
is it that important what you do in your teenage days?
must you really play it all,
for 'people dont play anymore when they grow up'
after all, this can start an endless debate.
but my mindset is that we shouldnt waste our holidays playing all the way.
after all,
there will be times when you get sian of playing right.
there'll be times you'll sit infront of your comp,
staring at msn,
waiting for people to come online and asking them to play with you.
all the more less reason if you dont have regular computer playmates.
umm yeah so its pointless to play 100% in holidays IMO.
of course, excluding the going out thing.
which i doubt computer playmates do often.

yes,
you may feel your life may be meaningless,
ordinary now.
but one thing that makes a person extraordinary
is the way he feels about himself.
such that that will be the way others feel about you.
of course,
you can save the emoing at home.
but outdoors you are presenting your image to the whole wide world.
every single thing you do,
board the bus,
work,
walk to the mrt,
talk to friends,
it will give people the impression that you are presenting.
the worst thing that people can do (and of course i did before)
is bring your emoing, low-confidence-self outdoors.
it'll just ruin your day.
for a start,
be confident about yourself outdoors.
it may be awkward,
rough at times.
but once you feel you're good,
your confidence will naturally flow indoors.
this is something im still striving at.
(haha, no wonder people call this the 'outside 1 person, home another'.)

back to sweeping the floor.
